Our events kick off on Friday 30th Sept and run until Sunday 9th Oct. We cannot wait to meet our new members and introduce them to Sidney and Cambridge.

Are you interested in the University of Cambridge Freshers’ Events?

Around the world in August and September, University Alumni Groups will be hosting online and in-person freshers’ events for new undergraduate and postgraduate students starting a course at Cambridge this autumn. These optional events are a great opportunity to hear from current and former students about their experiences of Cambridge and meet other new starters before the beginning of term.

Hey guys!! It’s getting to that point in the year where many of us are finishing, and some of us are leaving. So to celebrate the end of this year, we have organised a small get together in Sidney gardens for everyone to meet up and have a nice time 🙂
Your ticket will cover food and drinks, and will be charged to your college bill.
Dress code - Whatever you want! Dress for the weather 🙂
Date - Wed 29th of June - 5pm-9pm
Cost - £7 (charged to your college bill)

We have a couple of events coming up to get your December started! Join us on Sunday evening for our movie night, we will be watching Pride! (2014) with plenty of comfort snacks 😋 and don't forget to join us on Tuesday evening to make the MCR as Christmassy as it can be 🎄🎄🧑‍🎄

🏳️‍⚧️ Trans Awareness Week 🏳️‍⚧️
As the MCR is celebrating trans awareness week, we are flying the Trans flag until November 20th (Transgender day of remembrance). We are always working hard to make our community a safe space whithin Sidney, and hope everyone is feeling welcomed and supported in our MCR 🤗

Join us tomorrow to celebrate a belated Diwali! Expect sparklers, lassi, sweets, poker and other traditional card games. We will be meeting in the Knox-Shaw room at 18:30, and come on time if you want to make sure the sweets and sparklers don't finish! As always, we'd appreciate it if you took a quick LFT before coming to be on the safe side.
